An honest and diligent businessman, Balchand not only improved his life by overcoming adversity, but also supported his brothers in their ventures.

Balchand Suwalka is the owner of Satyanam Traders in Udaipur. He hails from a small village in Bhilwara. His entire schooling was done in his village.

Describing his struggles, Balchand says he grew up in such poor conditions that he had to work to pay his school fees. After coming to Udaipur, he started working before establishing his business. He says his prime motive was to improve his and his brothers’ lives. So, he encouraged his younger brothers to study and helped them start their own businesses. He also provided financial assistance for her sister's wedding.  He is happy and proud of the way he and his brothers flourished from scratch. He has always made an effort to be honest and transparent in his business, which is why he has a good reputation in the market, he says.

Balchand believes that the prosperity of his family and himself is primarily due to his wife, Draupadi Suwalka. His wife ensured that the entire family remained together and cared for each individual as a mother would. She is a devoted and pious woman who has always instilled morals in all the family members.

Balchand advises the youth to develop integrity and moral principles in them. He tells them to maintain transparency in business if they want to succeed in it.
